Request of Expression of Interest for the Position of one Component 3 Manager now existing in the Kiribati Outer Islands Food and Water Project.
The Republic of Kiribati has received a grant from the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) for the implementation of Phase II of the Kiribati Outer Island Food and Water Project.
The Project will be implemented in nine outer islands: Abemama, Nonouti, Tabiteuea Meang, Tabiteuea Maiaki, Beru, Onotoa, Nikunau, Tamana and Arorae. The Project has been implemented in October 2019 for a period of 3.5 years.
The overall responsibility for project management and coordination rests with Project Steering Committee (PSC) established within the Ministry of Environment, Lands and Agricultural Development (MELAD).
In collaboration with the implementing authority MELAD, The Secretary of Finance and Economic Development Intends to use parts of the proceeds (Grant) for the recruitment of a Component 3 Manager.
The detailed descriptions of the Scope of Services of the position are included in the Terms of Reference which can be downloaded below or obtained from the KOIFAWP office based at the Agriculture and Livestock Division, MELAD in Tanaea.
The appointment of the person to the position aforementioned is anticipated to commence in April, 2021 for the project duration subject to satisfactory performance assessments.
The candidate will be selected in accordance with the procedure set out for selection of Individual Consultants in the World Bank`s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of consultants by World Bank Borrowers, (January 2011 edition).
